The over-the-top burgers made with a combination of 50 percent beef, 50 percent bacon make their debut in the southeast today. Slater’s 50/50 out of Southern California opens at 467 E. Silverado Ranch Blvd., Suite 100, bringing the first of three anticipated locations to Southern Nevada. The menu features crazy burgers along with over-the-top shakes and craft beers.
Founder Scott Slater, who opened his first location in 2009, calls the restaurant a place “where you can watch the game, get a good meal, and hang out.”
Aside from those 50/50 burgers, diners can find the vegetarian Impossible Burger and Porkapalooza Platter serving three to five, as well as the restaurant’s namesake burger topped with pepperjack cheese, avocado, a sunny-side up egg, and chipotle mayo on a brioche bun. Other burger options include the Best Damn bacon cheeseburger with Black Canyon Angus beef, bacon, grilled onions, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, and Thousand Island dressing on a brioche bun; the P.B. & Jellousy with Black Canyon Angus beef, bacon, peanut butter, and strawberry jelly on a honey wheat bun; and the rosemary turkey burger with rosemary-parmesan bacon, smoked Gouda, organic greens, pickled red onions, roasted red peppers, tomato, and garlic aioli on a honey wheat bun.
Those who don’t care for burgers can order salads, chicken wings, or flatbreads, and local specials and vegetarian options wrap of the menu.
Slater’s 50/50 also features 50 craft beers on tap, including local brews from Crafthaus, Tenaya Creek, and Bad Beat Brewery. A full bar, boozy milkshakes, and non-alcoholic beverages also quench a thirst.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, happy hour, dinner, and late-night fare every Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m to 2 a.m.
